Morocco

Morocco (1930), directed by Josef von Sternberg, is a preCode romantic drama starring Marlene Dietrich as cabaret singer Amy Jolly and Gary Cooper as Tom Brown, a French Foreign Legionnaire. Set in Mogador in the late 1920s, the film traces their tempestuous affair as Amy is pursued by a wealthy suitor (Adolphe Menjou) and forced to choose between love, dignity and survival.
