About

Overview
In "Rain" (1932), Sadie Thompson (Joan Crawford), a lively and rebellious woman, finds herself stranded on the island of Pago Pago during a tropical storm. As she interacts with the devout missionary Alfred Davidson (Walter Huston), her free-spirited ways lead to an intense conflict with Davidson's rigid sense of morality. As Davidson attempts to reform her, the psychological battle between them reaches a boiling point, revealing deeper questions about guilt, redemption, and repression.
