TAPS stays close to home on this investigation as they travel to Newport, Rhode Island to investigate Fort Adams, the largest coastal fortress ever constructed on US soil. This is the second fort built on the site. The original structure was built in 1799 and stood through 1812. The fort was rebuilt from 1824-1857 and could hold 468 cannons, where as the first could only hold 20. Many deaths were reported but had nothing to do with battle but rather, murder, suicide, and illness.
