It's May 2021 and HMS Queen Elizabeth is about to set sail on her 1st operational mission. In this first episode the Queen Elizabeth is being shadowed by Russian spy ships in the Mediterranean, testing her weapons and preparing her crew for what lies ahead. Landing in Sicily, most on-board get a chance to party.

For Queen & Country

On her way to the far Pacific HMS Queen Elizabeth, protected by powerful destroyers and frigates, ventures into the eastern Mediterranean. Almost immediately Russian warships are diverted from the Black Sea to intercept her.

Troubled Waters

Following a welcome break in Cyprus, HMS Queen Elizabeth heads back to sea, but after passing through the Suez Canal it's discovered that one sailor has contracted Covid. A week later, almost a third of the ship's labour force is out of commission and the command has to find ways of keeping the aircraft carrier operational.

The Enemy Within

HMS Queen Elizabeth continues her journey to the South China Sea but rampant Covid onboard means she is not allowed to come ashore for any of the planned port visits. Her dedicated supply ships do their best to keep the Queen Elizabeth topped up with food, fuel and ammunition in dramatic and dangerous replenishments, often in high winds and heavy seas.

Pride of the Fleet

After travelling over 20,000 miles HMS Queen Elizabeth heads from Japan to Guam for vital maintenance. This time the ship has longer on the tropical island and the ship's company, deprived of so many runs ashore because of Covid take the opportunity to top up their tans. Soon however, the ship and her escorts are back at sea and sailing back towards the disputed waters of the China Sea.

Neptune's Kingdom

HMS Queen Elizabeth departs the Pacific for the long voyage home. Although it will be two months before the ship arrives back in Portsmouth most are already thinking of family and Christmas. The new captain, Ian Feasey,, makes a stark announcement to the entire ship's company. 'We are now entering what I consider to be the most dangerous part of our mission.
